Summary
Growatt Widget is a personal monitoring app for Growatt solar energy systems. The app does not collect, store, or share your personal information with the app developer.
What data is used
Growatt API token You provide your Growatt API token during setup. The token is stored only locally on your device in the app’s private storage and is sent exclusively to Growatt’s own servers (openapi.growatt.com) to retrieve data about your system.
System data The app fetches real-time data about your solar system (power, energy, battery status) directly from the Growatt API. This data is displayed in the app and in the home screen widget. It is not stored outside your device.
Local settings Settings such as electricity price, export price, and battery capacity are saved locally on your device and are never transmitted elsewhere.
What is not collected
Third-party services
The app communicates exclusively with Growatt’s official API (openapi.growatt.com). Growatt’s own privacy policy applies to that communication.
Data security
Your API token is stored in the app’s private storage on the device and is not accessible to other apps.
